the Budokan

Well, yesterday on January 4th I have been on my first live for 2010 and the band I had been going to see were of course AN CAFÉ! For them it had been their last show at Nippon Budokan before they would go on their announced break...
There were a lot of Cafekkos which were brimming with uncertainty towards this situation. For all of you Cafekkos, who could not go, I really wanted to tell you about it as quickly as possible!


This time, there were certainly a lot of Cafekkos, taking over the Budokan area.
To all of them, the five members wanted to let them know, how this is all about the development they wish for. AN CAFÉ are not going to stop. Just to make it happen, to have them grow and move on, a little break is what they want and need. miku, takuya, kanon, yu-ki and teruki will return to their Cafekkos without question. Still, please be patient until that time comes.

With all of this in mind, the 4th of January came quickly. Once again people made their way to the concert hall to see miku, kanon, teruki and the others without a second thought. Even to them, standing on that certain stage seemed like a miracle, as they conveyed their feelings towards the audience. takuya had seen numerous lives of his sempai-bands on DVD and he seemed happy about the opportunity to do it just a like. Very much unlike yu-ki, it seemed...? For him it was the first time to be this close to Budokan. Moreover, he hadn't really seen a picture of the place either and miku commented [He actually thought that Budokan was a hall for winegrowing, didn't you! Like the place to collect and prepare grapes. (Note: "館/Kan" means hall and the reading of the Japanese word for "grapes" and the Kanji in Budokan are the same)] Catching on to that, teruki asked him [Did you bring some Tupper ware then?], as if to top it off! (laughs)

Still, Budokan was the place the ways of fighting the Japenese way (Budou) had been passed on, while you all probably know what grapes are, right? ^^ However, people standing on this stage, often use this kind of reference, so please remember it for the next time you come across a "grape joke" on Budokan! (laughs)

Nonetheless, among those lighthearted MCs, there have been more serious moments during their performance as well, fort example when teruki would be glancing away with certain uneasiness.
Still! When speaking about AN CAFÉ, it is also about happy stage performances to dance and cheer to. There have been songs featuring miku's and yu-ki's twin-vocals as well!!!
The band has said it a number of times, too, that after this live it will take a while until they will be able to meet again with their fans, and yet it seemed so unreal as such.

All of the things that had been going on just the other day, everything that was there to remember for the fans and the band, it will be updated at musicJAPANplus in a short while! So please look forward to it! And just before being able to meet again...one last thing...

※As it says in their song "君は僕の太陽さ/ Kimi ha Boku no Taiyou sa"(=For Us You Are Our Sun!) released on December 9th in 2009 and amongst their record "Smile Ichiban Ii ♀", for AN CAFÉ their Cafekkos are their shining sun and they will always continue to be this very important part of them. So please put all your heart into their support...
